C.O.D. Protests The Protect IP Act

Personally, I am sick and tired of the United States government meddling more and more in our lives.  The movie and music industry is using our elected officials like puppets (muppets) and we are sitting idly by and letting it happen.  Well, I signed the petition, and my voice will be heard next election.  G.R.I.P. – Get Rid of Incumbent Politicians.  If we really want to make changes, we have to get those that pander to big business out of office and let them know that we have the power to do it.  After all, they are there to represent Read More…

Everyone knows, when you go to see a 3D movie... you don't do so on your first date!  Why? because of the stupid glasses they make you wear.  I don't know who got paid to design them, but I should not have to pay to wear them.  The only reason someone should pay for those 3D glasses is because they will laugh like crazy looking at how stupid people look wearing them.  Now, television manufacturers want us to wear these ridiculous glasses on our couches! That's right, didn't you realize that you need 3D glasses to watch 3D TV!?! Luckily for us, Look3D has a new take on the old fashion of new technology. Read More...

I am not one to take jabs at companies... wait... WHO AM I KIDDING?!?!?!? I love jabbing companies! Well anyway, as I was saying... Lately companies have really been surprising me with some of their antics. My rants stretch back from AOL to Microsoft and today the latest crazy chicken on the chopping block is Apple, again. This time, they are refusing to sell you an iPad! Read More...

This is definitely a new one for me. If you frequent C.O.D. (everyone should!), you would know that the last two articles we posted here, Will KHOBE Be The End of Windows? and Are PC Users in The Dark?, were in some way, shape, or form referring to viruses or PC users lack of knowledge. I had never thought that one day this site would be listed as a security threat for doing so. I run Microsoft Security Essentials on all my machines as do most of my friends. Today, we were presented with an interesting piece of doo doo slung from a fan blade. Read More...

Having been in the technical ring for as long as I have, I have become increasingly aware that many people just don't have a clue. I hear all kinds of stupid things from why PC's break to how crappy they are, accompanied by a host of other reasons why PC's suck. Most of the times, people don't realize that they are the cause of many of their own problems. Read More...

It was a dark and stormy night, May 5th; it was intense, my dog was hiding in the bathtub, the wind was blowing like a child with a new kazoo, the rain was coming down in sheets (11 x 17), and my PC was left to fend for itself.  Suddenly, the ground shook and my home felt epileptic.  The phone rings, the same quake is hitting China, the U.K, Japan, Canada... this is a worldwide earthquake? This wasn't a typical earthquake, this was a digital earthquake; at least that's how Matousec.com describes it.  They named it KHOBE! Read More...

As someone that is expected to fix everyone's computer in my family, there is nothing more than "WOOT!" that can  be said about a product that makes my family obligations easier.  My family isn't exactly the most "in touch" when it comes to computing (you will read an article / rant soon about that) and they make a bunch of dumb mistakes... most of which ends up with them contracting a I.T.D. (Internet Transmitted Disease, a.k.a. VIRUS!). That's when the frenzy starts, the claims that the world is collapsing, the seas are rising, they can't send email!  I must work quickly and efficiently to alleviate their ailments.  With that said, products like the USI-2535 makes my job easier.
