Personally, I am sick and tired of the United States government meddling more and more in our lives. The movie and music industry is using our elected officials like puppets (muppets) and we are sitting idly by and letting it happen. Well, I signed the petition, and my voice will be heard next election. G.R.I.P. – Get Rid of Incumbent Politicians. If we really want to make changes, we have to get those that pander to big business out of office and let them know that we have the power to do it. After all, they are there to represent Read More…

I recently had an interesting argument with one of my friends about Power Supplies. Our argument was about cooling fan size and placement within the power supply. His argument was that a larger fan is better than a smaller fan. As enthusiast, we have seen both employed, but for some reason, no standard has been defined. Are Power supply companies just playing into the idea that bigger fans are better for cooling? Needless to say, this sparked some interest in research. Read More...

If I have said it once, I have said it a thousand times... it takes a lot to impress me. Computer cases have made a wicked transformation over the years and there seems to be a few staples for me when it comes to my top picks. My main rig runs out of my Zalman Z-Machine GT1000 and my server makes its home inside the simple yet industrial Lian Li PC-75B (one of my all time favorite cases). As computer cases come and go here in the lab I hear the same song and dance; "This will be the best one you have reviewed yet" and for some reason a lot of them just fall short. BitFenix thinks they can break the current losing streak cases have had here with a design that is tough like Ray Lewis yet soft like Cinemax late night movies. Enter the Colossus. Read More...

After switching from iOS to Android and being entrenched in the Google experience, my curiosity leads me in the direction of trying all kinds of new things. After my initial introduction to Google Voice, I was impressed with the service and with some of things that Google gives us for FREE so I was naturally curious about Google Latitude. Latitude is an experiment that allows you to see where your friends are right now, and vice verse using Google Maps. Read More...

Every once in a while I run across some information that I find intriguing. Even less often, I find something useful, but today is not one of those days. If you haven't guessed it, I am a geek... and geeks love computers. Given that there are 13 of them running in my house at any given time I would say that I qualify as a habitual offender. I find more often now that I use my laptop more than any of the other machines in my house out of brutal convenience though; what I didn't realize is that it has an added bonus. Read More...
Another debacle by an increasingly annoying company has made me late for work today. It seems that Apple has neglected to fix a bug with its iOS operating system that ignores the Daylight Savings time changes in its alarm application. Read More...
