C.O.D. Protests The Protect IP Act

Personally, I am sick and tired of the United States government meddling more and more in our lives.  The movie and music industry is using our elected officials like puppets (muppets) and we are sitting idly by and letting it happen.  Well, I signed the petition, and my voice will be heard next election.  G.R.I.P. – Get Rid of Incumbent Politicians.  If we really want to make changes, we have to get those that pander to big business out of office and let them know that we have the power to do it.  After all, they are there to represent Read More…

Can't find the right controller for all your PC gaming needs? Here is the answer to those woes. If you were ever a console gamer, you fell in love with the Playstation controllers (only because no one could ever pry one from your hands). The Axispad Colors is very similar to the controller we have become so comfortable with.

Specifications:

  • Unique Translucent Black Translucent Color Casing Options
  • Rubberized Dual Analog Control Sticks
  • Eight-Way Digital Direction Control
  • Ten Fire Buttons
  • Software Driven Auto-Fire
  • Game Profiler Content CD
  • Tri-Compatible: USB iMac and PC GamePort Compatible

Installation:

Installation is a breeze. Just connect the Axispad Colors to your computer via USB and go. 9 out of 10 times, the Microsoft OS will recognize it without needing the drivers CD. Try to avoid using the included CD. I found it to be completly useless.

Gaming:

Let me tell ya, gaming on this thing is fun. Feels like your good ole' console. After 6 hours of nonstop GTA3 my thumb was getting pretty tired. Having all those fire buttons sure comes in handy when you are jackin' cars. The analogs were a little stiff at first, but I broke them in. One fault I did find was: the analog's are buttons, and when gaming it is very easy to press to hard and activate the button. Minor, but none the less there - simple fix - In game controller settings, disable those buttons.

I beat THPS3 in one day using this controller!! Pulling off CRAZY combos was easy.

Conclusion:

If you miss the comfort of the Playstation controllers, this is the one for you. This controller goes highly recommended by me. Especially at the price of under 20 bucks. I just wish they would offer it in better colors.

In early 2000 I became increasingly frustrated with hardware review sites praising less than satisfactory products. The saying: “if you want something done right, do it yourself” applies here. I wasn’t satisfied, so I did it myself; and here we are years later.
