For a long time I had resisted converting my DVD and Blu-Ray disks into any other format because I didn’t want to lose any quality. I had lived by this rule for a long time, and thankfully companies like QNAP and Thecus came to my storage rescue. However, the day has come where the cost of storing all the extra garbage that comes along with these movies has opened my eyes to benefits conversions. With that, I have began converting my movie collection to a format that allows me to lose all the excess fat, but keep my movie loss-less. Read More…
The New iPad
The new iPad offers high improvements that individuals can take advantage of, but whether they really need such improvements is another topic altogether. The new iPad offers an important element, better pixels that keeps it at the top today, as compared to the iPad 2 or any other tablet available in the market.
After a failed first attempt at switching to Android from iOS, I have decided to give it a second try. With that said, there are a lot of opinions as to what the "must have" apps are for the platform.
Samsung is doing a good job at hyping us up for their Galaxy S II Android powered smart phone. The Galaxy S II is impossibly thin at just 8.49 mm and still manages to pack a 4.3" Super AMOLED screen. Meanwhile, the thin design doesn't look like it will inhibit processing power as the phone comes with a Dual Core processor accompanied by 16/32GB of memory. With all the excitement surrounding the second iteration of the Galaxy phone, I can only hope that the cell phone carriers will not cripple this as they did with the first series... cough... Verizon / AT&T... cough.
I can't help it, there are just some things I can't get enough of. One of those things is Angry Birds! If you are an Android, iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch user and you have the Angry Birds application installed, and you are wondering how to get all the golden eggs... Look no further. I, for one, cannot consider something completed until I have all the secrets revealed. In the previous article (Angry Birds Golden Egg Walkthrough) we covered eggs 1-15... and so here are 16 and 17! (more...)

After switching from iOS to Android and being entrenched in the Google experience, my curiosity leads me in the direction of trying all kinds of new things. After my initial introduction to Google Voice, I was impressed with the service and with some of things that Google gives us for FREE so I was naturally curious about Google Latitude. Latitude is an experiment that allows you to see where your friends are right now, and vice verse using Google Maps. (more...)
Everyone is paying attention to the Android buzz, especially Apple and RIM. With the recent news about some of the offerings coming to the table featuring Google's Android OS how can anyone ignore it? Android's biggest and best feature is that it is open and free to run on various platforms, including various phone manufacturers, tablets, and more. Recently, a study has revealed that Android suffers from its own best feature. (more...)
Since my recent adoption of the Android platform, I have noticed many little things that drive me crazy about the OS. I am by no means an Apple Fan Boy, but when compared to IOS... there are just so many things that need to be refined. Some are very important to fix quickly, and some are just annoyances. For me, today, it was an annoyance. My calendar is important to me, it keeps me on track and on time. However, Android is determined to annoy me with its weird behavior and likes to auto populate my calendar with many of the same events, duplicating them, when syncing. Now how do I clear all these events? (more...)
If anyone knows me, they know I play with things for no reason, that is my nature. With that said, whenever I find something that I haven't used, haven't heard of, or could find any reason whatsoever to try, I will. That is the case with Google voice. Google voice is not new to many, but it is to me. This pseudo telephony service has been available to many people for some time... since they took over GrandCentral in 2007, but they announced the service will be available to EVERYONE for free not too long ago.
