For a long time I had resisted converting my DVD and Blu-Ray disks into any other format because I didn’t want to lose any quality. If our readers are anything like me, they like to keep their devices up to date with the latest firmware. Typically, this is either to fix some bugs that have been found or to introduce some new features to a product. With that said, it is also normal for a company to distribute a changelog which indicates either what changes have been made or what features have been added.
Personally, I am sick and tired of the United States government meddling more and more in our lives. The movie and music industry is using our elected officials like puppets (muppets) and we are sitting idly by and letting it happen. Personally, I have never really been a fan of Apple products. That doesn't mean they don't have their place in the world, it just means they aren't for me. Look, we all know and realize that Windows is the superior operating system to anything else out there. With that said, I am going to detail ten reasons why this is the case and offer supporting data. Some of this may be shocking to you if you are a user of another operating system, but please... don't feel inferior.
I really had high hopes for the latest version of Firefox, so much so that I sat and dealt with the same problems from the previous version waiting for an update to fix it. Firefox has come a long way since it debuted, but sometimes that road ahead can actually lead you backwards. With the slurry of new features present in Firefox 4, and even 3 for that matter, the project has failed to address one of the most problematic issues, memory usage.
In a blog post, by Jamie Odell, on Netflix.com yesterday, it was announced that Netflix was making some changes to its services; members would no longer be able to add DVD's to their queues on devices they can use to stream movies. The idea is born from another that the "Add to DVD Queue" option ties up valuable resources and would still be supported directly and only from the Netflix.com website. (more...)
After switching from iOS to Android and being entrenched in the Google experience, my curiosity leads me in the direction of trying all kinds of new things. After my initial introduction to Google Voice, I was impressed with the service and with some of things that Google gives us for FREE so I was naturally curious about Google Latitude. Latitude is an experiment that allows you to see where your friends are right now, and vice verse using Google Maps. (more...)
Every once in a while I run across some information that I find intriguing. Even less often, I find something useful, but today is not one of those days. If you haven't guessed it, I am a geek... and geeks love computers. Given that there are 13 of them running in my house at any given time I would say that I qualify as a habitual offender. I find more often now that I use my laptop more than any of the other machines in my house out of brutal convenience though; what I didn't realize is that it has an added bonus. (more...)

The current security craze is affecting more than our daily computing. The implementation of various security measures has gone beyond standard security measures and has entered the obscene.
