Sandra benchmark results show that the Hitachi family of drives leads the pack in almost all benchmarks. The Buffered Read, Sequential Read, and Random Read tests show the Hitachi drives outperforming those offered by Western Digital by a good margin. The sequential read is significantly higher than that of Hitachi's 500GB offering and is only bested by the Raptors in RAID.
The write tests tell the same story, just not as significantly with the smaller cousins. The HDS721010KLA330 leads the pack in almost all tests of standard configurations, with impressive scores.
