Antec does not forget about those of use who like the classic floppy drive. As stated earlier, there is room for one external 3.5″ drive. The installation is not of the easiest kind, but fortunately, most of us will ignore this. I, however, would have liked to see a better inclusion system implemented.
The bottom of the chassis is no slacker either, sporting the mounting system for power supplies that are standard or inverted is just one of the high points. The housing that secures your power unit is also fitted with silicone strips to minimize noise generated from your power supply. If your power supply unit is bigger than the housing Antec had enough forward thinking to make it removable.
The lower chamber is also home to your main stay of storage. The caddy housed here is home to up to 4 more hard drives utilizing the same silicone grommet sound deadening solution and the incredible caddy installation system. The caddy here also shares the same key chain style grip system for removal as the upper caddy does.
The hard drives here would be cooled by a fan installed between the power supply and the hard drive caddy. The filter in the front is utilized to provide dust free air in the lower chamber. The fan is an Antec fan that features the same switch to select the speed of the fan. The issue here is with the fan installed there is zero room for cabling. That means you have a rats nest of power supply connectors and a lack of room for your IDE or SATA cables. The is the only flaw I have found with the chassis and could have been easily solved by making the chassis a mere two or three inches longer in depth.
