The design and size of the PCB inside the Ultra Plus leads us to believe there may be something left on the table here for SanDisk. As interesting as that sounds, the delivery of nCache as a game changer ends up with it just being another player on the field.
SanDisk’s performance claims of 530MB/s Read and 290MB/s Write were almost dead on in our tests benchmarking the drive at 540MB/s Read and 288MB/s Write.
Description | Sequential Read | Sequential Write | 4k Random Read | 4k Random Write |

SanDisk has done nothing here to differentiate itself from the heard with regards to pricing and performance and although this drive comes in at a very reasonable $109.99 USD, I just can’t justify picking this over something else. Throw into the stew that you have to purchase the SSD Conversion Kit ($29.99 USD) to get items that other manufacturers consider standard gear, and you are looking at a total cost of around $140. For a few bucks more, you can pick up an OCZ Vector.

Unfortunately, it is more of the same here. There is nothing that stands out with this drive. Lackluster performance at a premium price.
Thanks. I’d have seen this review before I bought it. I totally disapointed with the Writing Speed.
Yeah, its a bummer. I thought the performance was going to be much better for the price.
