The File Copy Test – Programs consists of creating 8504 files totaling a size of 1380MB.
This drive is performing very nicely compared to the other drives.
This drive is continuing to impress me with its read scores in these tests. A thing to note is that this is copying and reading a TON of small files. You will see that things change later on when we start to get to the bigger files.
That is one close score. I had to rerun this test 5 times to just be sure. This drive came in just a horse’s hair behind the fastest of the drives in the copy test.
The File Copy Test – MP3 consists of creating 271 files totaling a size of 990MB.
This is where the Raptors in RAID really start blowing away the competition.
The File Copy Test – ISO consists of creating 3 files totaling a size of 1600MB.
The WD4000KD scores just a bit over half the speed of the Raptors here. Don’t forget that the 400 is a standalone drive here, and large file sizes like this are really going to be dominated by the Raptors in RAID. You can see that this drive is still outperforming the SATAII drive in the competition.
