Configure Backup and Restore in Windows 7

By default, this backup is scheduled to run every Sunday at 7:00 PM.  You can easily change this schedule by clicking on Change schedule and configuring it to your liking.  I personally like to run this more often and would perhaps choose to run this every day and later at night instead of just on Sundays.

Once the backup is confiured to your liking, click OK and choose to Save settings and run backup.
