There is a new category of computer user out there that I am discovering. I have been well aware of the uber geek that accepts nothing more than maxing out their credit cards on the top of the line peripherals and equipment, and I have been versed in the practices of the novice as well. New to me is what …

Goodbye Mac Mini, Hello Shuttle X350 / XS35
Ok, so my days of wandering through Microcenter’s Apple area pondering whether to buy a NEW Mac Mini are over. It was a short lived dream… or nightmare; I haven’t figured that out yet. Apple almost had me until Shuttle announced its XS35 at Computex this year.

As you may have read, I am a fan of Microsoft Security Essentials. Prior to MSE, I had been using Microsoft OneCare on almost all of my machines, and in case you didn’t know; Microsoft is no longer supporting the product. Instead, they released MSE to replace it. With that said, my subscription was about to expire. I figured it …

Rosewill RSV-L4000C 4U Mining Case
rying to figure out how you want to build a mining machine, there aren't many options to choose from concerning its skeleton. One option is to build or buy an open rig frame, another is to mockup some metal shelving and hang some gear from it with zip ties, and the last option is to purchase a professionally made, well-manufactured mining case. While Rosewill may not be that well known in the cryptocurrency space, they have made a name for themselves in the server market by manufacturing and designing quality components at a price point that most people can afford. With that kind of pedigree, Rosewill introduced the RSV-L4000B and, subsequently, the RSV-L4000BC; a 4U 6/8 GPU Rack-mountable Mining chassis.

How to: Upgrade Your Proxmox Boot Disk
First off, let me get this out there right off the bat; I am a homelabber that leverages Proxmox for some LXCs and some VMs. This is all fun and games for me, so there is nothing mission-critical here… other than the inability for my children to watch Grizzy & the Lemmings. I have a few small form factor devices that I have set up to run Proxmox in a 3-node cluster: I have one Beelink Mini S12 Pro and 2 Lenovo M920Qs, all running what they came out of the box with. While rummaging through the endless drawers of random technology, I found a few larger consumer-grade M.2 NVMe (1TB and 2TB) drives lying around collecting dust, so I figured I would put them to good use and replace the small 250GB NVMe drives these systems are currently running.

TomTom Spark Cardio + Music Review
Face it; we all love gadgets. I love them more than most. I have been running a lot lately, training, competing, etc. While running with my phone is an option for training; running long distances with my phone isn't. Additionally, running through the muck and mud with a phone strapped to you is just asking for trouble. I set out on a path to find the OCRADDICT's dream companion, a GPS training watch that can handle all the things we throw at it... and more. That means it needs to be durable, waterproof, include GPS (duh), and provide the functionality to track and improve my training.
