Once you get through the marketing mumbo jumbo, you can start to appreciate the direction Seagate is taking here. This drive is one that is designed to handle the operational vibrations, high temperatures, cycles, and power on time that we can expect to find in a NAS or consolidated storage environment.

As far as looks go, the product page is a bit deceiving. It presents to you a shiny drive with a fantastic looking label affixed to its face. Instead, the drive ships with the standard bland informational sticker discussing make, model, serial number, capacity, blah blah boring blah.

The drive measures in at 146.99mm in length, 26.11mm in height, and 101.85mm in width. This conforms with standards for 3.5″ hard disk drives and ensures that drive tray population is comfortable and system building is effortless.
