The top of the TJ04-E is now home to two USB 3.0 ports and your audio connections for headphones and a microphone. The removable fan filter is a sweet addition, as noted on our Grandia GD08 Review. The top is capable of holding two 120mm fans or one single 120mm fan and one 140mm fan. Unfortunately, SilverStone only provides you with one fan installed, a 1200RPM 21dBA 120mm fan with a 3 pin connector.
Around back, the TJ04-E sports cutouts for water cooling, a 120mm cooling fan (the same as mounted topside), 8 expansion slots, and a bottom mounted PSU bracket. SilverStone didn’t outfit the TJ04-E with a tool-less expansion design and for some reason also chose to outfit the case with an expansion slot cover. The expansion slot cover isn’t horrible, but I would prefer something more along the lines of what BitFenix did with their Colossus.
The bottom of the case has two more removable fan filters, one for the PSU fan and one for a bottom mounted unpopulated 120mm fan. The designers also outfitted the case with some large feet (nearly 19mm) to provide as much airflow to your PSU or your bottom mounted 120mm fan.
