  • This system doesn’t have much installed on it. All it’s usually used for is crunching the Find-a-Drug distributed computing project.

The install was relatively painless and the instructions were pretty good. I did have to modify the installation a bit due to the fact this cooler was not designed with my GF3 in mind. Screw identification was the hardest part. But a little testing of threads beforehand gave me a general idea of what went where. Thermaltake does provide an ample supply of thermal paste and it’s needed. According to the instructions you pretty much goop up everything liberally, which I did. Then I cleaned up whatever squished out that I could get to. It was a fairly messy job but I buy my acetone and alcohol by the gallon so it was no real problem for me. I ended up leaving on the ramsinks I already had installed because they had plenty of clearance. Even most of the larger BGA ramsinks available on the market should fit with this cooler.
