For all of the guitar players out there who share my frustration with current guitar games, Ubisoft is promising to help us out. Anyone who plays guitar, for obvious reasons, seems to struggle a bit with Rock Band and/or Guitar Hero. The problem being, one of the biggest parts of actually playing guitar is the feel of the guitar. Holding a little piece of plastic and tapping away mercilessly at buttons can get a little boring.

There is a new category of computer user out there that I am discovering. I have been well aware of the uber geek that accepts nothing more than maxing out their credit cards on the top of the line peripherals and equipment, and I have been versed in the practices of the novice as well. New to me is what has been defined as "the normal person." When I read that statement, I had to experience this for myself. I have always enjoyed playing PC games and with the ever-increasing sophistication of video cards, software, and AI; the games are becoming eerily realistic. What better way to increase my pleasure than to add the extraordinary effect of true 3D to my favorite games.
I am sure most of us have, at least tangentially, been aware of various vendors promising to enhance our viewing pleasure by the addition of a 3rd dimension to our gaming, movies, and images. I have been a gamer for a long time and I've played on everything from a Commodore 64 to an Xbox. If I have learned one thing it is this, the keyboard is not the ultimate gaming accessory. Why do you think we use a game controller with the console systems instead of the keyboard? It's easier to use. I will be the first to admit that, having played for so long with a keyboard, I have become accustomed to its layout and function. I now have trouble adjusting to using the controllers on console systems like PS2. Along comes the Nostromo Speedpad n52, the big brother to the n50.
